The Passivhaus Construction Company was founded in 2021 with a clear purpose: to lift the standard of building in Aotearoa. New Zealand homes, workplaces, and community spaces face challenges that traditional construction methods can’t solve alone: cold interiors, rising energy use, moisture issues, and buildings that do not stand the test of time. We believed Kiwis deserved more. Buildings that stay warm. Structures that last. Environments that protect and uplift the people inside them.

One of our proudest achievements is our involvement in delivering New Zealand’s first commercial energy-efficient office building, certified by the German Passive House Institute for Hutt City Council.
